 Privacy Statement

The Equestrian Corner recognizes the importance of protecting the privacy of information provided by users of our web site.  We created this policy with respect for our customer's right to privacy and to guide our relationships with our customers.  In this section of our Privacy Statement we describe the type of information we collect and how we use it to provide better service to our customers.  

Information Collection and Use

The Equestrian Corner collects information from visitors to our website, subscribers and other customers.  For each visitor to our web site, our Web server does not collect information regarding the domain or e-mail address.  We collect the e-mail address of those who communicate with us via e-mail.  We do aggregate information on what pages consumers access or visit, user specific information on what pages consumers access or visit, and information volunteered by the consumer, such as survey information and/or site registrations.  The information we do collect is used for internal review and is then discarded.  We use collected information to improve and customize the content of our web site, improve the layout of our site, and/or, to contact consumers for marketing purposes.   The Equestrian Corner will not sell or give away any of your personal information to a third party.  This information is strictly confidential.

Ordering

During the ordering process, users are required to give their contact information (such as name, e-mail address, mailing address and phone number).  We use this information for internal purposes only to communicate with customers regarding the status of their order and to provide a more personalized experience on our site.  When purchasing any products from our web site, credit card information (such as account name, number, and expiration date), will be requested.  This information is use for billing purposes only, and is not shared. 

In order to best serve our customers, we may send updates that contain important information regarding our current product line, new products being added to our line, and/or any account-related issues via e-mail, phone or regular mail.  We do offer our customers the option to receive information about our company, products, and special deals.  Users, however, can choose not to receive these communications from us, as set forth in the "Permission" section below.

Permission

Our customers are given the opportunity to choose whether to receive information from us not directly related to the product for which they agreed to receive.  If you do not want to receive e-mail from us in the future, please let us know by either sending an e-mail, calling or writing, and telling us that you do not want to receive e-mails from our company via our Contact Us page.  Please note that we will endeavor to implement your permission requests within a reasonable time, although for a time you may continue to receive mailings, etc., transmitted based on information released prior to the implementation of your request. 

Security

We use reasonable precautions to protect our customers' personal information and to store it securely.  Sensitive information that is transmitted to us online (such as, credit card number) is encrypted and is transmitted to us securely.  In addition, access to all of our customers' information, not just sensitive information mentioned above, is restricted.  Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, a billing clerk or a customer service representative) are granted access to personally identifiable information.  Finally, the servers on which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment.

Our web site contains links to other sites.  The Equestrian Corner is not responsible for the privacy practices or content of such other sites.  We encourage our users to be aware when they leave our site and to read the privacy statements of each web site to which we may link that may collect personally identifiable information.

Notification and Changes

If we change our Privacy Statement, we will post those changes on this page so our visitors and customers are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under which circumstances, if any, we disclose it.  Users should check this policy frequently to keep abreast of any changes.
